Board of Directors
Mike Thompson, Chairman
Mike Thompson is the President of Thompson
Educational Furnishings. He completed his Bachelor degree in
Business Administration and minored in Marketing and Music at
the University of Central Oklahoma in 1975, where he was
also on the varsity baseball team. For over 34 years, Mike has
worked for his family business Thompson Book & Supply Company
founded in 1930 in Edmond. The Thompson family was the recipient
of the first University of Central Oklahoma
"Family of the Year" award. In 2010, he was inducted
into the UCO Athletic Hall of Fame. Mike has served on the
Citizens Bank of Edmond Board of Directors for over ten years.
He also is the past President of the UCO Athletic Association,
former member of the Board of Directors of the UCO Alumni
Association, and current President of the Falconhead Townhome
Association. Mike lives in Edmond with his wife, Gayle, and
they have four children and three grandchildren
W. Roger Webb, Vice Chairman
W. Roger Webb became the nineteenth President of the University of Central Oklahoma in July of 1997. Roger completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Oklahoma State University and received a Juris Doctorate degree from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Law. He previously served as Oklahoma Commissioner of Public Safety in 1974 and as the President of Northeastern State University for 19 years. Roger has served on many Boards at the city, state, and national level. He recently received in 2009 several prestigious awards including: Edmond Citizen of the Year, Governors Arts Award, Oklahoma Law Enforcement Hall of Fame, and Oklahoma State University Alumni Hall of Fame. Roger joined Citizens Bank of Edmond's Board of Directors in 2001
Jill Castilla
Jill Castilla joined Citizens Bank of Edmond in 2009 and represents the fourth generation of her family to work at Citizens. Prior to joining the bank, she served on the senior management team at Grand Rapids State Bank in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. For nine years, Jill managed numerous departments at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in both the Oklahoma City and Kansas City offices. Jill holds a B.S.B.A in Finance from Hawaii Pacific University and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. Jill is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison's Graduate School of Banking and is a recipient of Hawaii Pacific University's Distinguished Alumni Award. Jill currently serves on the Oklahoma Council on Economic Educator's Board of Directors and the UCO College of Business Administration's Advisory Council. She and her husband, Marcus, have three children.
Morris Gibson
Morris "Hoot" Gibson began a career in Edmond over 65 years ago when he opened McCalls Clothing Store. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, he continued his education by earning a Masters' degree in Business from New York University. His passion for Edmond is demonstrated by his service as a past-president of the Chamber of Commerce and serving twelve years on the Board of Directors. During his many years as a member and former chairman of the Edmond Parks and Recreation Board, Hoot was instrumental in the construction and opening of Kickingbird Golf Course. Hoot also served on the Urban Renewal Board that was the force in expanding the University of Central Oklahoma campus to its present size. An adamant supporter for businesses in Downtown Edmond, he created the Downtown Edmond Business Association. In 1989, Hoot was inducted into the Edmond Hall of Fame by the Edmond Chamber of Commerce and citizens of Edmond. His service as a member of the Citizens Bank of Edmond's Board of Directors began in 1976. Hoot moved to Edmond in 1953 and he and his wife Marilyn have five children, eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Ray Hibbard
Ray Hibbard, a 30 year Oklahoma newspaper veteran, is publisher
of Edmond Life & Leisure and corporate advisor to OKC
FRIDAY Newspaper in central Oklahoma. Both are locally owned
and operated weekly newspapers. After graduating from Heritage
Hall High School in 1976 and Oklahoma State University in
1980, he furthered his education by majoring in Accounting
at Oklahoma City University. He is past Chairman of the Edmond
Area Chamber of Commerce. He has been a class member of Leadership
Edmond, served on the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce Board,
Edmond Arts and Humanities Board of Directors, the City of
Edmond Capital Improvements Board and as Chairman of the
Edmond Police Station Needs Assessment Task Force. He is
also past chairman of the Board of Directors of Edmond Medical
Center. In 2004, Ray was voted Citizen of the Year by the
Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce. Ray and his wife, Jennifer,
have five children.
David Hornbeek
David Hornbeek has been a Principal for Hornbeek Blatt Architects since 1999. From 1983, he was a Principal of Blair Hornbeek Architects and, from 1989-1999, he was Principal of Blair Hornbeek Larsson Architects. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Architecture, both with Distinction from the University of Oklahoma. David also received the AIA School Gold Medal and a Master of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. In 1980, he became the youngest licensed architect in the state of Oklahoma. He currently is a NCARB Certificate Holder with licenses in Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Alabama, Maryland, Hawaii and Texas. David joined Citizens Bank of Edmond's Board of Directors in 2000. David and his wife, Brenda, have two children.
David Penland
David Penland began his association with Citizens Bank of Edmond in 1973, joining his family in a long history of loyalty to the bank. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management at Oklahoma State University in 1982. After gaining experience in the construction industry with a general contractor he joined the family business of United Acoustics, incorporated in 1985, and became President of the company in 2001. He is a member of the Associated General Contractors and Rotary Club International. Among the many community organizations David has served are Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together, for which he and his employees have volunteered for several years. For 30 years, David has been active in his church community serving as both deacon and elder. David joined the Citizens Board of Directors in 2002.
Lee Wendling
Lee Wendling has almost 40 years of banking experience. Lee has been a Board member since 1981 and served as Secretary to the Board from 1989-2009. He retired from Citizens Bank in 2009 as Executive Vice President and Cashier, but remains an active Board member and consultant. He joined Citizens Bank of Edmond in 1979 as Vice President and Cashier and served as department Supervisor for Operations and Investments. He attended OCLA and the University of Central Oklahoma majoring in Business Administration. Lee is married, has two sons and two grandchildren.
C.H. Wyatt, Jr.
C.H. Wyatt, Jr. joined Citizens Bank of Edmond in 2009 and has been in the banking industry for 36 years. Prior to joining the bank he served as President, CEO and a Director of InterBank in Western Oklahoma for eighteen years. In addition to those responsibilities, he served the past three years as an Executive Vice President and a Director of Union Bank and its division Rose Rock Bank in Oklahoma City. Both banks are owned and controlled by Olney Bancshares of Texas, a 1.6 billion dollar Bank Holding company. C.H. received his M.B.A from Oklahoma City University and is a graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU, Professional Master of Banking through The Graduate School of Banking at LSU in cooperation with Alex Sheshunoff Management Services, Inc. as well as the Bell Leadership Series held at UNC. C.H. has served as a member of the Advisory Council on Payments for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City and is a past Director of the Oklahoma Bankers Association. He and his wife Janie have one daughter and two granddaughters.
